Commitment and Love

What a wild and crazy abstract art piece this is. All sorts of intense colors and vibrant shades. Nothing really in control and yet very peaceful at the same time. My artwork today is reflecting my ideas on Love and Commitment. Very similar to me and such an exciting experience 🙂 I am using symbols and colors to represent a story. I am really intrigued by the emotions I experience when I look deeply into the eyes of my painting. I can see it all here and yet reflected in it all is nothing at all. A paradox inside of a contained space. Much like relationships there is really no answer because the solution lies inside of the journey……. Namaste 🙂

Horseshoe Over A Doorway Will Catch Good Luck

This really got my attention the first time I saw it.  This rustic classic  door and window with a horse shoe above each is on a western old barn in a mining town, my guess from the late 1800’s. It’s located behind a friends saloon in the middle of the Colorado Rocky mountains about an hour south of the Buena Vista Colorado area.

It is believed if a horseshoe is hung over a doorway, with ends up will catch good luck and ends down will let the good luck spill over the door and stop evil from entering.

Love Creating Life

I really enjoy butterflies and the amazing way that they begin life as one creature and end up something totally different. A transformation takes place that literally transforms a caterpillar into a butterfly. This is an amazing process and the end result is beautiful. As humans we also transform during our lifetimes but it is not always as dramatic. Over time we slowly change and adapt to what we encounter and within this we grow or not. I don’t have the colors of a butterfly but I do have a colorful past 🙂 My artwork today is a display of an experience and a lifetime of separate events. So many lessons and so many colors. Namaste

I got a little note from the Universe today which read, “You simply cannot know, Sharon What will make others happy.  But you can always know for yourself.  Go for it….The Universe”  That’s my reminder.  I have been working really hard painting custom work for others and creating pieces for my show that I’ve neglected what makes me happiest.  Like the picture above, I need some time for myself walking along my own creative beach.  There is such a freedom in just letting the energy from your soul release itself onto whatever canvas you choose.  So I am off to do just that today. 🙂

As I am working away here getting ready for my upcoming art show and completing custom work for the Holidays, I find I have a good problem.  I had 5 original paintings on canvas that were going to be showcased in the show, but they have all sold!  So I am working even harder to create more work.  I will not list these new pieces because I actually need some originals on my display panels. 🙂  I have been moved by the support I am receiving lately.  I have collectors who say they will drive upwards of 6 hours to come to see me and that they have been waiting for me to have a show.  One person is driving across state and another is coming from Georgia.  If my people are going to come that far….I’d better make sure I have some real nice paintings to…

I really love symbols and shapes and colors, and with my new Abstract Series I am exploring the idea of digital art created with different symbols and backgrounds. My artwork today is centered around love and light. I believe that love can be expressed across many colors, and not just pink and red. It is a very vibrant emotion and enjoys all sorts of drama and emotion. This particular heart is seeking to find knowledge. Not just romance but intensely deep feeling and affection.
