Love that red!
Amanda, when I went Within this morning to seek who to dedicate this post to, you came to Mind. I know I am doing this blindly, not really knowing if you can relate to this post, yet, I have learned to follow my Heart. So that is exactly what I am doing. May my words, and this precious Rose, assist you in your Life Decisions, my dear friend. For all who view my work this day, I thank you from the bottom of my Heart doing so. Bless you!
When a fork in the road appears
know no matter what road you choose
all roads eventually lead to Source.
Now, granted, some roads may have you journeying
longer then when on some others … t’is true …
free will gives you the choice
which road to travel upon
depending on what is required for…

Love the mono tone…
Black and white has always been in style, so my “Cool Dude” is even cooler without his color. 🙂

nice light and work
Okay so I’m deciding I like landscapes and flowers. Have you noticed? haha This was taken with my 105mm macro in my little pop up studio with my speedlight. Don’t I sound professional? I’m really enjoying the flash work actually. I’ve been reading all about ways to create shadow for effect and it’s pretty interesting.
The other day I had a conversation with a friend of mine about style and how it’s important that when people look at a photographer’s breadth of work, there is a style to be seen. Sometimes I bounce all over the place because I like trying new things, but I’m trying to be a bit more aware of maintaining a style so when you see a picture of mine you “might” say, that’s me! At least for now lol.

Afternoon thunderstorms roll in to the high elevation in the Colorado Rocky Mountains almost on a daily basis in the late spring into summer. Lightning strikes once or twice also moves in and out pretty fast. Mostly in the early or late afternoon time of day. It is vary hard to catch a still shot without a lightning trigger. At this time I do not use one nor have I ever used one.
This is the first image that I have caught lightning in the high elevation of the mountains. Watch the storm tracking and really though this was a good chance and it happened according to plan, 4:00pm, June 13th, 2015. 13 is a lucky number in our family because it is my sisters Kathie’s birthday. She passed away a few years ago so I can only think she had something to do with this image. Happy Birthday Kathie!

I find beautiful scenery in the morning would bring positive energy to start my day. I spent a weekend in one of villages in the Netherlands, enjoying its nature and serenity. This image was taken at early morning when I walked around the village with my dog. I created a gif file using my photoshop CS to show the color (original) and the monochrome version. Which one do you prefer, the color or the monochrome? Please vote your preference through this polling (comments are closed):
