Yesterday we went to the DeYoung Museum in San Francisco and enjoyed an exhibition of JMW Turner.  All I can say is WOW!  Seeing his artwork on the internet or in a book is one thing, but seeing it in person is a whole other ball of wax.  It is just amazing!  You can see his images and read about him here.

I am so incredibly inspired!  While I will never profess to even have 1 percent of his talent, it’s really neat to see other artists and learn from their work.  A chuckle escapes my lips as in the next breath I post one of my landscapes.  I did try to enhance the light and detail a bit more.  The image wasn’t my best composition but I did enjoy peeking through the trees onto the hills below.
